As December edges closer, one brand continues to position itself right at the center of Nigeria’s festive rhythm. Coke Studio has unveiled its 2025 lineup of music and culture experiences, setting the stage for another massive Detty December moment powered by live music, nightlife energy, and youth culture.

Over the past few years, Coke Studio has quietly become one of the cultural engines shaping how young Nigerians experience the end-of-year season. What was once simply a brand platform has grown into a December movement where music, lifestyle, and community collide.

Back in 2023, Coke Studio leaned into the nationwide “We Outside” energy with its “Outside With Coke” campaign, embedding itself firmly in the conversations and nightlife moments that defined the season. The following year, the brand doubled down with “Flex With Coke,” a theme that brought a louder presence across live shows, rave culture, and immersive stage experiences that placed Coke Studio squarely at the heart of December festivities.

Now in 2025, the platform is evolving again. This time, it is tapping into one of the most widely used expressions in youth culture this year: “Locked In.” The campaign, titled “Locked In with Coke Studio,” signals a deeper commitment to the music ecosystem and the cultural communities that shape Nigeria’s December landscape.

Rather than focusing on a single event, Coke Studio’s strategy revolves around embedding itself across the biggest moments of the season. The brand’s December presence will be anchored by its major partnerships with Flytime Fest and Rhythm Unplugged, two of Nigeria’s most influential concert platforms that traditionally pull global audiences during the holidays.

But the cultural footprint extends far beyond those flagship stages.

Across several cities, Coke Studio will support a wide range of live experiences that reflect the diversity of Nigeria’s music scene. These include Palmwine Fest, Davido’s 5ive Alive Abuja, Even in the Day Dance Eko, Group Therapy, Iconiq Fest, Roadblock Fiesta, DJ Tunez’s Blackout Tour, and Adekunle Gold’s Fuji Live, each offering its own distinct sound and community.

Speaking on the campaign, Yusuf Murtala, Senior Director and Head of Marketing at Coca-Cola Nigeria, described the initiative as a reflection of the brand’s long-standing relationship with music culture.

He explained that Coke Studio has consistently served as a platform for amplifying the sounds, stories, and creative energy shaping the current generation. According to him, the “Locked In” concept represents Coca-Cola’s way of fully embracing the spirit of December in Nigeria by showing up in the spaces where culture is built, friendships are formed, and unforgettable memories are created.

The music lineup also reflects that ambition. Performances are expected from a wide range of artists who currently define the sound of contemporary African pop and global rap. The roster includes Flavour, Olamide, Asake, Davido, Rema, Central Cee, MOLiY, Shoday, Dope Caesar, Zaylevelten, and DJ Tunez, alongside several other artists expected to appear across the festival circuit.

Together, the shows promise a blend of Afrobeats, amapiano, rap, street pop, and DJ-driven nightlife moments that mirror the sonic diversity of Nigeria’s music scene today.

For Coke Studio, the goal is clear: to once again transform December into more than just a festive period. It is about building a cultural atmosphere where music, fashion, nightlife, and youth identity collide.

And if the lineup is anything to go by, Detty December 2025 might just be the year everyone stays locked in.
